Lake District Trip

8 of us are trying to come up with a cheap over night stay somewhere in Cumbria.
It is to celebrate our friends 50th birthday.
She is not a drinker.
A couple of ladies are on a budget so we need cheap and cheerful.

There are lovely Youth Hostels in the Lakes that have private rooms rather than dorms. Very cheap, just check the YHA website.

And there are 'camping barns' in some places.

In the North West, which is the quietest area, nearest town Keswick, are these self catering places, though some might do B&B as well:
