We just moved here from the states about 4 days ago. We are still jet lagged, living in a hotel, and feel like fish out of water.

We need to eat meals out right now but have a baby. I am looking for causal spots--ones you can order up at the counter and they will bring you your food. In the states we have chipotle, panera, noodles and co, pei wei. If you are familiar with these, can you give me ideas for something comparable? please and thank you.

Gourmet Burger Kitchen do excellent burgers. You order at the till and then they bring it over once it's cooked

Don't forget to sign up to email lists for all the chain restaurants mention on this thread. The discounts can be good and you are sent freebies around your birthday time too.

Thanks for the rest of the recommendations. We will try the George. I cannot wait to get into Cambridge and try some of the other options too!

I was going to say like a PP did, there are branches of Chipotle in London.

Op we're "missing out" by not having American places to eat? Try acclimatising to us, you'll find it easier Wink
