Hi, we're planning a long weekend get together for DFs 80th. For various reasons we've left it quite late and are going in July, age range from 6 to 80 I've looked at Crief Hydro but very expensive also thinking about Duchally house but wondered if anyone had any advice on nice places to stay that would sleep up to 12 could be B&B, hotel or self catering but needs to be within reasonable distance of both Glasgow and Edinburgh airports as DB and DSis flying in for this. We're thinking Trossachs, Perthshire, Central Belt. Because of short notice need to try and book pretty soon. thank you for any suggestions

Have a look at these 3 websites that we have used in the past. you will find something on one of them but July will be expensive because it is school holidays and most self catering places will be wanting a week booking not just a weekend.
groupaccommodation.com bigholidayhouse.com, groupstays and sleeps12.

Thanks, these are all great websites that I haven't tried before. I'm sure we'll find something suitable.

Loads of big houses in Newtonmore. Can't find the one we stayed at now but plenty others.

Other places to try would be auchrannie on Arran, piperdam infife, erigmore in birnam and dunkeld, dunblane hydro, stirling highland hotel, north Berwick.
