We don't necessarily need one with commentary seeing as everyone has been lots of times before, but we've never done a river trip.

One of the champagne ones would be great if anyone could recommend one?

Don't know about champagne tours but we did this once and it was fun www.londonducktours.co.uk/

Mind you that was before the one that caught fire ...

Didn't one sink as well?? Haha!

Still not sure which one to choose, online they all look pretty similar so maybe they are!

My hubby and I have done the River Thames boating holiday a few times. Your kids need to be of “swimming age” to be safe and reasonably fit yourself as you have to go through the locks. If you have those qualities just rent a Thames River Boat cruiser for 4 days (3 nights) there are boatyards all the way up the Thames from Windsor out to Oxford and the further out from London you are the cheaper it is to rent the boat. We’ve always got a 40 foot chugging cruiser with all the mod cons on board, Kitchen, Showers, bedrooms etc. The boatyard peeps give you a crash course in how to pilot the thing which at first was daunting but was really easy in the end. Check out Blakes website and Hoseasons, they were the market leaders on boating holidays before the www came online. When you really get in to it you can find the individual boatyards and deal with them direct. Good Luck
