Glasgow city...we arrive Friday afternoon till Saturday, what can we do?

Stopping in Glasgow city near st George's sq, arrive Friday afternoon, leaving sat lunch. Want to show DS around but don't want to be exhausting ourselves out. So can you recommend:

Couple of local places to visit
Where to eat for Friday lunch,tea

What age is your DS, and what time of year are you coming?

Train to Edinburgh?

The Filling station is great

How about a hop on hop off type city bus tour if you are only there for a limited time?

OP, I'd advise going to the science centre and or IMAX cinema there on the Friday, then an open top bus tour of the city on the Saturday. There are loads of good places to eat - you're very central.

Yy to Science Centre, Time Capsule isn't too far and is great fun for swimming. Ryze for trampolining if he is older or Wonder Word play area if he is younger.

Tourist wise open top bus tour, Glagow Green is lovely park with great play area, next to River Clyde etc, several nice museums on the way and its hop on hop off with a kids option for commentary too.

Lots of lovely eateries, George Sq is located just north of Merchant City so plenty of choice there.
