First night away in nearly 5 yrs - West Yorkshire hotel/B&Bs?

DD is nearly 5 and we have only ever been able to have a few hrs away from her for various reasons. Things a bit desperate in the marriage dept and I think we just need some time together. Think we might be able to manage a Sat afternoon till Sun lunchtime next month. We live near Huddersfield so not a great selection of places within a 45 mins drive which is our max distance otherwise we'll waste ages in the car. Need to go in the car to drop dog off at kennels on the way so don't think a city hotel will work.
Anyone been to any nice hotels or B&Bs that don't cost a fortune?!
Thanks

If we're going away for a night my mum and dad have the kids and they live in Huddersfield so my criteria is a hotel within about 45 mins to an hour away - no point wasting time travelling!

We've stayed at the Village Urban Resort hotel just off J28 of the M1. The idea was we might go to the Showcase cinema, but we never even left the hotel! It has a decent swimming pool, for me, and a Starbucks for DH who hates swimming. The food in the Italian restaurant was nice, but breakfast was only average.

We also went one year to the same chain of hotel in Ashton-Under-Lyne, since my parents are near Holmfirth so it was only 40 minutes away. We didn't bother with breakfast, after our decidedly average experience in Leeds, so we went to the nearby IKEA instead!

Last year we only went to a Premier Inn, which again I think was just off J28 of the M1! This decision was based on the fact that we were not necessarily bothered where we were (just to be away from our 3 kids for a night is enough!) and the fact that they have decent breakfasts! I think we had a trip to IKEA before we went back for the kids on the Sunday again.
