Nice hotels in or close to chester

Looking to come back to Chester. Would like a nice hotel in or close to Chester ideally with a pool (but may not get chance to use it as sightseeing so is not a deal breaker. ) Stayed at Camden park last time which was expensive and not really worth it so unless they have deals we won't be going back. Any recommendations? And for things to do last time we did the zoo, crocky trail and boat trip. Had a lovely time

Chester Grosvenor is lovely. Right in the centre, I think it has a pool and a spa too. Quite expensive, but it is five star. There's a deal on Secret Escapes at the moment.

Not stayed there myself but many friends return to the Mill Hotel in Chester. Pretty central and it has a pool.(millhotel.com}
