Never been to either. Not looking for steep mountain walks but happy to walk 8-10 miles. Don't mind a bit of uphill. Would like nice scenery and maybe some forest walks.
I hear the midges are worse on the west coast, but then Deeside is a lot further away. So pros and cons there.
