White seed like bits in 3 day old newborn!

Hi,

So my 3 day old daughter has been getting a lot of white seed like bits in her poop. Like to the point the majority of her poop is these white seeds with a mustardy poop.

Is this normal?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Totally normal.

Amber94 · 20/07/2015 19:18

What causes it?

That's just what poo that's made of only milk looks like.

AnythingNotEverything · 20/07/2015 19:20

Is it sort of curd like? DD had this. Extensive googling showed it was fine. Never found out what it was.

It's breastmilk poo. It breaks down that way.

As Anything said, it's the curds. They look like little white seeds.

I should have mentioned. I am not breast feeding. I am formula feeding

I was just worried because so much of it was these white seed like bits. Pretty much 90% of it

Mine had that too, I assumed it was formula milk bits.

LIZS · 20/07/2015 19:26

It is undigested milk protein . Very normal.

Lagoonablue · 20/07/2015 20:19

Only FF babies get that. BM is broken down more easily. Nothing to worry about.

SaulGood · 20/07/2015 21:29

Lagoona, that's not true. It happens with breast milk too. There's a range of normal where poo's concerned whether you're ff or bf.
