Redcross Street, Bristol BS2

I'm looking for somewhere to stay and have come across what seem to be very nice serviced apartments in Redcross Street. Most reviews are very positive, including saying it's in a really good location. But a couple have basically commented that it's in a dodgy area. Not sure who to believe.

Any Bristol residents able to shed any light?

Dp Is from Bristol originally. He says it's not the best area, it's next to St Paul's and a there's a lot of student accommodation. He said its within walking distance of Cabot circus and the shops.

Very close to some not great areas, but not hugely risky. You would have a very short (3 minute?) walk to Cabot Circus and the edge of the city centre. Cabot Circus is across a busy duel carriageway.

Sound like we may want to avoid it if St Pauls isn't great, which is a shame as it otherwise looks great (and we're struggling to find anything else suitable).

There are lots of serviced apartments in bristol do not stay in the one previously mentioned.

There are lots of services apartments in Bristol, yes, but they aren't available for the dates we want!

It's more like St Jude's /Old Market area. It's not a great area but it's not horrendous! And it is in a fab location.
