Help finding seaside weekend break in the summer holidays

I'm trying to find somewhere near the coast in Devon, Cornwall or Pembrokeshire for a Friday- Sunday at the end of July.

DD (5) and DS (2) want to go to the beach, but I don't mind if where we stay just makes it a short drive for a day trip rather than staying on the beach or having a sea view.

I don't want to spend more than £300, and would quite like to spend less!

DH won't consider a holiday park, camping, anything not en suite, and it's his procrastination and refusal to agree or voice an opinion which means everywhere I'd found as possible places is now booked up.

If someone can recommend an amazing place in an another part of the country then I'm happy to consider it, but we live near the M4/M5 and I don't want to spend the whole of Sunday driving home.

I don't know what area the M4/M5 is but Bridlington is gorgeous in Yorkshire x

It's Bristol/ Gloucester type area, so Yorkshire is quite a drive, but I'll consider it.

Santon Sands doesn't have a room for less than £310 a night, and I don't want to spend more than that for both nights. It looks nice though!

Sorry, didn't realise it was per night! I put the break in and thought it was the total!

its school summer holidays. its a peak weekend and the only places you will find that offer weekends will be hotels or b and b's not self catering. £150 a night for 4 people is way too optimistic in my opinion because it is school hols. Make your DH do the search. tends to make realism break out when this happens. if its a weekend does it have to be July. if you went before school hols then you could find cheaper and easier imo.

Royal hotel woolacombe £204 b+b for family via super breaks I think you might get dinner b+b for the same price if you book direct. Very scruffy hotel but walk to great beach. Buffet full English breakfast and buffet school dinner style evening meal. Plenty of food . Not Haute cuisine but went down well with our kids. 1st visit family room was twin beds the through sliding door to double bed. 2nd visit double and 2 singles all in same room. Do however check out trip advisor reviews.
Other options on super break Swansea Marriott and mecure drive to beach but withen your budget. Drive to gower or holiday inn Plymouth again a drive to the beach. Or if you can persuaded hubby into a chalet, the chalets at oxwich bay

Try searching for hotels /b&b's in or near Tenby. There should be some in your price range st that time. The beaches in and around Tenby are stunning, and there is also plenty around to do if the weather is not do good (swimming pool, castles, adventure parks etc)

We need to go in the school holidays because DD is at school (and to a lesser extent DS is at preschool).

DH finally settled on Wales, and even agreed to not have a car park on site.

I've managed to book 2 nights in a hotel in Tenby for £250. It's just across the road from the beach, as in we just have to cross the road and are on the beach, and we have a sea view.
