Victoria coach station to Crouch End

Hi, is there a bus which goes from Victoria to Finsbury Park? I am a tad nervous about the tube, also assume can use my bus pass. I gather I can get the W7 bus frm Finsbury to Crouch End.
Would appreciate some help as I don't know London at all, thanks.

Coming to London Victoria coach station on Monday, I posted a previous message but don't know if it was successful. I want to catch a bus from Victoria to Finsbury Park, (I'm a tad nervous about using the tube,I know its great etc. ) Also I can use my bus pass on the buses. Have to get to Crouch End, & gather I can catch a W7 bus to there from Finsbury Park. So I would like to know which bus I catch from Victoria to Finsbury Park, would really appreciate some help, thanks.

Why are you nervous about the tube? Get the Victoria line to Finners B, walk to Crouch End (there's a sign in the station telling you where to get the W7 from although it's very walkable)

If you really want to get the bus, go to tfl.gov.uk and type in your start and end points and it will tell you exactly where you need to get the bus from

get an app called 'citymapper' and it will sort all your london journeys out or you. there is a bus only option.

i'm not sure of the place you want in crouch end, but my app recommends:
C2 then 134 bus
82 then 102
or C2 then 214

The 73 doesn't go to Finsbury Park Pseudo - it goes to stokie and then seven sisters.

According to tfl (as I posted), there's no direct bus. you can get an overground train from islington to ally pally then walk to crouch end

Thanks very much, am used to the old fashioned "buy your ticket at the kiosk from a real person, get on the bus/train, simples" - all these new-fangled ticket machines are a bit daunting to a country girl, not used to London.

Tube is much quicker. If you have a contactless credit or debit card it will cost you £2.30/£2.80 off peak/peak. Oyster card fares are the same. A paper ticket to Finsbury Park is £4.80. Take the Northbound Victoria Line. If you are netvous ask a member of staff or press a help point. We don't (all) bite!

Are you sure you can't take a deep breath and try the tube?

The potential for it all going tits up is much higher if you get a selection of buses rather than getting the (simple) tube straight to Finsbury Park. You don't have to change lines or anything

Oops oddfodd just seen that the 73 stops at Stoke N now and not Seven Sisters any more

Although £4.80 for a paper ticket is daylight robbery

God yes The bus(es) will take forever

Also if you have a national bus pass issued by your council the bus is free. The tube is extra.

Bear in mind buses don't go from the coach station...

This is all much appreciated & (although I have a bus pass!) will take the deep breath and go for the tube experience. I may like it so much and ride around all day! Ta to everyone.
