Last weekend the weather in the Lake District was gorgeous, excellent walking. This weekend it is pants. Tomorrow's forecast is absolutely dire, so we're cutting our losses and heading back home in the morning, instead of walking all day and driving south in the evening.
But we don't want to spend the last precious day of the holiday just driving for hours.
So can anyone suggest a place easily accessible from M6 or M40 (indoors, of course!) which might be enjoyed by a 12yo girl and her dad for a couple of hours?
