Anglesey with teenagers- too rural?

My finger is hovering over the 'book it' button for a cottage by the sea in the north of Anglesey, but I have this niggly feeling that the dc who will be 13 and 17 will find it too boring.

Reassure me there is plenty to do...

Beautiful beaches, loads of outdoor pursuits type things, water sports, boat trips in the straits, go-karting. I'm going to our caravan at the weekend and could send you a load of leaflets for places they might like?

We love the beach, but outdoor pursuits not so much.

How are they with walking? The beaches really are beautiful - Newborough is brilliant. Beaumaris is lovely for a wander round - great ice cream place and little shops. Rhosneigr too but less to do. There's Plas Newydd which is National Trust - they have events over the summer. At Moelfre there's music on the beach in the summer at the weekend, lifeboat day in mind August - when are you thinking of going?theres a website which has listings of everything going on - the seafood festival is the end of August, and there are farmers markets frequently too.

The plan is the end of august.

They will walk, but there needs to be as point, I'm not sure they appreciate beautiful views and suchlike.

Lifeboat day and music on the beach sound good; you are persuading me Grin which website has the listings?

My teens enjoy the Hebrides- Anglesey would be a metropolis in comparison Grin

It depends on the dcs and their interests/expectations.

Tell them that my 8 & 10 year old climbed Mt Snowdon, that can be their aim one day - just off Anglesey but easily reachable.

I asked the dc and they are both excited! which is what i should have done in the first place I suppose, so I have booked it. Grin Thanks
