Hotels on M1 (between Alton Towers and Herts)

We have got a good overnight deal at Alton Towers over half term, but would like to break the drive up on the way home if possible and also have a slightly longer period away. I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a hotel near to the M1 between Alton Towers and St Alban's? It will be for DH, DD (6), DS (1) and me. Thanks very much!

Could you look and see if there are any Premier Inns half way? That's how we break our motorway journeys.

Hi there, maybe have a look at places in Woburn. It is a beautiful village and has a few overnight options plus it is only a couple of miles off the M1 at junction 13. You can do Woburn Abbey/ Safari Park or just walk in the grounds if you have time. We used to live near there.
