Would prefer apartment, recently separated so just me and DTs 15...

Salcombe is great, plenty of teens around and fab if they like sailing.

Falmouth is (IMHO) even better, more going on, great fishing trips from the harbour.

Ooh I went to Salcombe when I was about 15 and loved it, will def try there, really tight budget so fingers crossed :) I hadn't thought of Falmouth for some reason!

Salcombe is beautiful, a little more expensive.
Torbay, Newquay and st Ives are also nice. Newquay is probably best for teenagers, there's more for them to do there.
