Hello!
We are trying to plan a week's UK break, we are on a very tight budget but desperate to try and make the most of the summer! We have previously stayed in Portsmouth and Wales in a static caravan, and we usually try and plan days out every day nearby (ish). Could anyone give us any ideas please? We have 2 children aged 7 and 5. Would appreciate any ideas!
Thank you :-)

Which part of the country are you traveling from ?
How will you be traveling?
(As obviously miles and miles of fuel is expensive and train /coaches travel means you need to be at a destination near a station / or where the coach or megabus goes).
Do you want it to be by the seaside?
(Near, but not on the coast makes it a lot cheaper if you have a car)

We live in Devon, but plenty of people come here for holidays:

Dartmoor, Exmoor, South Hams, Torbay.

Several heritage steam railways, river and sea boat trips, industrial antiquities, literary connections, Brunel.

(You can research yourself, but if you need more help, come back.)

Weymouth. If the weather is nice then the beach is lovely for a free day out.

Monkey world is nearby and not too expensive.

Where are you travelling from? North Yorkshire is great with loads to see and do or the Lake District - Pembrokeshire in Wales?

Sun cheap holidays are opening up again soon. We used one to go to Woolacombe Bay last year and had a lovely time.
