Has anyone got any recommendations? Its for my mums birthday, wanted to book a hotel and tickets to a show but don't know where to start, has anyone got any ideas?

laterooms.com have the nest deals.

It is acheivable depending on when you are going. I book hotels for a living.

my friend is the manager of the

'sherlock holmes hotel' on baker st.
www.sherlockholmeshotel.com

think that they have some deals

Me too - it depends where you want to stay, what amenities you're looking for etc. Be warned though - hotels in London in Nov/Dec are like hen's teeth at times

Me and my friend stayed here at new year. Easy for the tube and we found the hotel really pleasant - modern rooms (not overly big but clean and tidy) and the breakfast was brilliant. We paid about £110 for the room (between us) and brekky was £12 each but well worth it - huge buffet with champagne!! We'll be going again after christmas and will definitely stay here again

Thanks everyone, they can go anytime in december so I am having trouble narrowing it down! Which bit of London should I be looking for if they want to be close to where they'd go to see a show? My mum has just had a serious back op so won't be able to do much walking.

Moomin, your link has expired, what was the hotel called?

whoops sorry - it keeps doing it. anyway it's called the K&K Hotel George in Earls Court. The best price we found was via Expedia.com so you could find it if you do a search through them

CountessDracula · 25/10/2006 15:58

It depends on which show you want to go and see really!

What were you thinking of?

CountessDracula · 25/10/2006 16:01

how about this place you can get cheap deal on laterooms for it too

LadyPenelope · 25/10/2006 16:06

How weird - dh stayed in London last week for an exhibition and he told me it was good value - smallish room but clean and good breakfast . And it was K&K hotel!

Just a word of warning-Earls Ct won't be near anything you are likely to want your parents to see
You will need something in the West End really.
