Lake district - Camping/Glamping

We're looking to camp in the Lake District possibly either at Easter or during August.
Three families are getting together from different parts of the UK - one family has a tent and the other 2 families have outgrown their current tents so looking in to the possibility of reasonably priced glamping options.
We all want to be on the same site and one of the families intending to do the glamping is a family of 5 so need to fit in to one pod/yurt etc.
Anyone got any recommendations for us? Smile

Just one point to note - we went to The Quiet Site in Ullswater in a pod - I'm sure at the time it was billed as suitable for 5, children were maybe 7, 7 and 3 and there was absolutely no way on earth, in any configuration, that we could get 5 beds in there. H & I have narrow camping beds (off the floor), children have blow up mattresses. I think the children's legs all had to go under the raised camping beds in order for us to fit.

So just a word of warning really, us families of 5 are pretty awkward and not many people cater for us, certainly not pod makers Smile.

I would thoroughly recommend this place though but you can't camp - perfect for 3 families going together though.

That's interesting to know Mandy, thank you Smile
You'd think that if the description says they fit 5 then they would fit 5 comfortably! I do find it tough finding accommodation for 5 of us and ours are all under 7! Undoubtedly it will get tougher the bigger they get!
Thanks for the warning, I don't think i'd fancy 2 nights in cramped condition with my dcs!
Octolodges look lovely. I'll have to see what the other families budgets are and if the one family is set on camping.
We holidayed together last year but at 3 different locations in the same town and would definitely prefer to be on the same site - it's a lot easier and more sociable Smile
