Somewhere toddler friendly between Bristol and Suffolk

We live overseas and flying into Bristol to stay with family and then will be travelling on to Suffolk to stay with more family. We're looking for somewhere in between to stay a few nights with a 18mo. Any ideas?

depends what time of year you are travelling. if its out of holiday season/school holidays then you might find a self catering place. if in holidays then most cottages only let by the week so you would be looking at a hotel or b and b. suggest you look at babyfriendlyboltholes and all4kids websites as this is a huge area that you are looking at!!

Thanks mummymeister. It will be the beginning of July so not quite the school holidays but it will be high season. Appreciate it's a huge area, just not sure where would be a good place to stop. I'll take a look at your suggestions.

July is school holidays for kids from Scotland, Ireland, Europe and some UK private schools so it will not only be high season but busy as well. there are loads of good places to stop. I suggest you go on google maps, draw the route between the two places as you would drive and look at where is half way and start there.
