depending where you're staying and for how long there's also eureka, i think at halifax, that's good for science lovers.

right side of leeds for tropical world then (roundhay park) theres the medical Museum ( Thackley) i think...royal armouries ( fab if they like that sort of thing - my idea of hell) leeds art galleries ( mine like them)
Its more difficult in the winter...

then roundhay is within easy reach. big park for ball games, swings, see ducks etc. sometimes there are kite flyers and even kite surfers too. then you should also do tropical world, loads of animals and birds, laid out like different parts of the world. then for something nice to eat go to roundhay fox across the road. it's a pub but a very nice restauranty type pub, relaxed, but nice. otherwise there's flying pizza, very nice italian family type restaurant on street lane, roundhay again. always full of big family groups and the odd celebrity.

If you are there for a few days and willing to travel, Magna is good for science fans is outskirts of Sheffield - about an hour from Leeds. We love Eureka too

just thought of a really good one..Xscape at castleford, not far, straight down the motorway. it's a big indoor snow slope basically. my nephews love that, aged 3, 7 and 10. skiing, snow boarding, sledging..

thanks, but plans have changed and we're not going there now! maybe one day....
