York or Harrogate after Christmas?

Which would you recommend visiting for the day just after Christmas? We won't be doing anything touristy, just passing through to absorb a bit of post-Christmas atmosphere.

York. Harrogate is lovely but if you aren't up to anything in particular there isn't a day's worth of stuff to absorb!

York for me too. I think there's more 'street atmosphere' in York. There's a great buzz there.

I prefer the Yorkshire sculpture park near Wakefield. Amazing!
