Places to stay in or near Hove with a 3yo

We need to go to visit my step-gran in Hove. We used to stay with her but it's getting a bit much for her so we said we'd stay at a hotel. Do anyone have any suggestions on where we can stay?

Everywhere is so expensive and some hotel have very odd or unclear arrangements for toddlers, do we pay for an extra bed or what? It looks like we're going to have to go to bed early if we are all in the same room too.

It will be a Saturday night. I was thinking of going for the Friday night as well and making more of a break of it but it's so expensive I just don't think we can justify it.

Any ideas?

There is a Travelodge opposite Preston Park in Brighton. I'm a great fan of Travelodge when travelling with children- they are easy and you just pay for the room.

Oo fab tip, thanks, that looks like a goer, although oddly the one in Central Brighton is cheaper (or roughly same price with the killer parking prices!)

Tallulah I am going next week for two nights, super apartment nr the pier, a lot of them will rent for just two nights. It sleeps 4 and is costing £170 which I think is very good value. It looks very classy! Have a look on Holidaylettings :)
