Hi,
We are looking to go with our 2 young DC to this area for a few days in October. I was just wondering if anyone had stayed anywhere nice that they would recommend?
Many Thanks
TOOIK

These guys are run by a family from our school, who are lovely folk - have not stayed in any of them (as I live here already!) but they look like a good selection if you'd like to stay in Stirling rather than rurally

If you want rural, I'd suggest looking in Aberfoyle, Luss or Killin if you want a village - Callander not so nice as an actual place though fine and central if you're expecting to be out & about most days.

The forest holidays cabins at Strathyre are centrally located and look like they'd have a good balance of stay-at-home and go-out-for-day options, plus a café and cycling/walking/loch on doorstep.

(I've assumed you're looking for self catering - I might be assuming a bit too much!)

Thanks! yes looking for SC, will try those town choices! We have stayed in Stirling/Aberfoyle before so maybe somewhere a bit more rural this time (might regret that if the weather is rubbish!)

we had a great cottage earlier this year through 'Scottish Cottages', near Aberfoyle. Lots to do, watersports near Kinlochard, the Drummond Safari Park, Wallace Monument and walking at David Marshall Lodge (waterfalls, squirrels, tearoom etc).
