We went to the Big Easy (American BBQ restaurant) on maiden lane last week. Had the early bird theatre menu £10. Kids menu was good too.

I can't see the kids menu what was on it?

Ed;s Easy Diner has a couple of branches. One near Trocadero, one near Cambridge Circus. Good for kids-decent burgers and hot dogs, good chips and really nice milkshakes.

There's a Wagamama on Southampton Street which is usually a good bet with children and where we would head. Loads of places round there, but they all tend to get busy so unless you're booking get there early. Depending on where you're coming from/going, it may be easier to eat on the way to/from Covent Garden - e.g. there's a Pizza Express opposite Charing Cross station, or near Waterloo there's Giraffe, Strada, Wagamama etc on the South Bank.

Nando's, Ed's.

One of the Hix restaurants gives free food to kids under 10. Take note tossing Stein and Oliver, not just welcome but fed for blinking free.

Tom Aitken and Bill Grainger's restaurants are good for kids too.

Wahaca is delicious!

Rainforest café is a short walk away, near to Leicester Square. Nice for younger kids (under 10s). A bit pricey though.

Belgos is great. My DC loved it when we ate there

bakingaddict · 17/08/2014 22:26

Belgo is quite good and the prices are reasonable. The servers dress as Belgian monks and my nephews still talk about the place even though it was ages since they last visited it

We love sushi and there's a branch of our favorite Kulu Kulu tucked away at the top of long acre. Conveyor belt and very kiddie friendly.
