London - something needed to fill a few hours

Coming to london next week and I have 3 hours to fill with my son (6) late afternoon whilst my dd is doing something else. We have done the nat just/science/childhood museums before so looking for something different. Needs to be in central London as won't have much time.

Don't mind paying just would like something that would appeal to him. Maybe something boyish that we can do without dd. Did think of cinema but can do that anywhere really.

Transport Museum in Covent Garden? A boat ride on the Thames to Greenwich and back.

London Transport Museum is good - lots of hands-on things to do. Diana Memorial playground in Kensington Gardens?

The IMax cinema?
Trocadero (arcades etc)
London Eye
Up the Shard if you can get tickets?
Serpentine boating lake in Hyde Park if its sunny

Thank you, we have done the transport museum a couple of times before, but I had forgotten about the memorial playground. If the weather is good think we will head there, it's Peter pan isn't it, we went years ago. Will also look into boat trips and the IMAX.

Thank you!

The old granary near kings X has water fountains to play in outside and it's next to Canley St gardens too. The Southbank Centre also has water fountains as nearly always has stuff going on for kids inside.
