Can anyone recommend a good stopover for a drive from SE London to Forest of Dean? Will have a grumpy DH and 3 kids - age 4, 5 and 6. So I don't kill the lot of them will emerge from this journey relatively sane? Anything to kill a few hours or if nothing, even a good service station will do? Thanks! ThanksThanksThanks

If you're going along the m4 then try studley grange at junction 16, it's a butterfly farm with other animals (meerkats, otters, rabbits sort of thing) and a small soft play area, cafe is ok. We often stop there if going to wales.

Thanks! It's just the kind of suggestion I'm looking for... Will have to check out the M4 route... Thanks
