Firework competition in Plymouth...any advice on attending

We are staying nearby and have noticed this is on' thinking of going on the Wednesday... any advice on getting there' parking' etc

This is a great event. We live in Cornwall and he each year. Parking is fine so long as you get there early, and don't mind leaving late.
Make a night of it though, there's a huge fairground, loads of places to eat, live music, and plenty of room for children to run around.

Not to forget the amazing fireworks with a brilliant view.
Recommend taking a blanket, as there aren't really a seats, and it lasts a long time
