We're visiting Hampshire in the summer with our kids (3DC, 11,7,5) - we've got national trust for scotland memberships which we can use down south - what would you recommend ? there for two weeks so can visit a few !

I know Mottisfont is very popular around here. I've not been myself but it's a regular venue for those with NT membership.

We like Mossisfont and The Vyne, both will probably take the whole day as they have fairly long walks and usually do a quiz or trail. Hinton Ampner and the Winchester City Mill are also nice but smaller.

Have you spotted any others?

Not NT (it's RHS i think?) but Furzey Gardens just off J1 of the M27 is amazing! Tricky to find as it's down lots of wiggly little roads but it's sheer magic when you get there :)

I'd forgotten about the Winchester Mill. DH has taken DC there and they enjoyed it. It's next to Pizza Express which is handy. Smile

The rose garden at Mottisfont smells divine at this time of year.
