Heeelllloo
Really desperate to get away in the summer holidays
Any time from 23rd of July really.
2a 2k

It's so expensive to go abroad especially if you want to go all inclusive.
Any ideas for a week get away uk, maybe pool or near a beach somewhere anywhere!!

Thanks
X

and you have left it a bit late for the Uk as well by the looks of it. the gove changes have had a huge effect on holidays. really struggling to find places with space that are half decent. have a look at the last minute sites like lastminute-cottages or lategetaways or on sites like cottages direct but search by date. whats your budget? would think somewhere around £800 - £1,000 should get you what you are looking for if there are still spaces.

We've been with this company to Northumberland. Lovely beaches in this area.

iseenodust · 22/06/2014 15:55

Slaley Hall, Northumberland has availability at 170 per night per room B&B for 7 nights from 25/7which leaves plenty in the kitty for meals & spa treatments. I've heard good things but not been. The trick I think is look at not particularly family orientated holidays.

iseenodust I think the 2k referred to above was 2 adults and 2 kids not £2K for the break. Slaley hall looks lovely but £1200 for a week is pretty steep for a hol in the UK imo.

Grin Wishful thinking on my part !

In that case I recommend Scotland back of August when their schools back.

The Haven We stayed here last summer and you cannot beat the location. It is opposite a beach great for rockpooling and a short walk to a lovely sandy bay. Close to Alnwick, Bamburgh etc. These beaches do not get full even in Aug.
It has availability from Aug 13.

Just Checked haven, internet a bit slow - think I'll give it another look in in a bit, might be able to get a good deal!! Thanks

What's your budget?

WynkenBlynkenandNod · 22/06/2014 21:12

Center Parcs in Europe have availability during the summer holidays.

justjodie92 · 22/06/2014 21:13

You could try icelolly.com
I've heard some good last minute deals are being offered on there.
Hope you find something

If you would be up for a caravan holiday try directholidayhomes.co.uk Lots of privately owned caravans on sites with pools/entertainment etc - there was summer holiday availability for £500-600 when we were looking last week.
Hope you find something.

I'd look at Dutch holiday parks. They do holidays with kids so well. I've looked at this one a few times but we always end up camping! http:www.hofvansaksen.com/gb-en/holiday-park/the-netherlands/drenthe/hof-van-saksen/activities
