Cheap Places for Groups or lodges in North England

Does anyone have any recommendations of places to stay for groups in north of England. There are 5 families so separate places are fine and probably better as some would prefer the cheaper the better (eg a type of camping) whilst others would be happy to pay more for a lodge. Families size range from 3 to 6, some babies.

Any ideas or recommendations?

Have a look at the bigholidayhouse and groupaccommodation websites you should find something on here. but I have been on these sites over the years and not found a cottage/camping combination. you might get lucky and find lodges with camping or definitely caravans and camping. good luck. when are you looking to go?
