Hi Everyone,

I will be visiting London next week and will be going to Columbia road flower market on Sunday morning. Any recommendations for a place to have a good lunch afterwards?. Thank you

Go early! 9am. By 11 it is rammed, but if you don't have small dcs it might be more fun to experience the crush of people and noise! Take lots of £5 and £10 notes with you.

Re food, the Royal Oak on Columbia Rd does nice pub grub, not sure if you can book but if not, turn up there early too as it gets rammed! Otherwise there's Laxeiro a nice tapas place, or Brawn, a lovely modern European resto, both on the same rd. If you're looking for more reasonably priced good, there's Stringray Globe Cafe that does good pizzas.

After the market, you could go to Spitalfields market for more clothes, homewares and jewellery stalls. Lots of restaurants and food stalls there in case you do leave Columbia Rd early.

Enjoy!

Lots of Vietnamese restaurants on Kingsland Road near the Geffrye as well. Don't go to Song Que though. Used to be great, but it was very disappointing last time we went.
