Putting this here and on chat. Can anyone recommend any uk cottage clusters eg groups of cottages where you can go away with friends but have your own space so you are kind of on holiday together apart. Thanks.

we stay HERE they have 8 cottages but not sure how many they sleep in total but it is quite a few. they have a swimming pool and playbarn as well. when are you looking to go away?

Here is nice. Swimming pool, playbarn and farm trails. Lots of cottages so you might not fill it all!

Timberhill near Broadhaven, Pembs. We stayed a few years ago and are going back this year. Very pretty site, timber lodges that are very comfortable (apart from nowhere to dry anything!), beach is walkable through the woods.
