We're trying to book our summer holiday, which will be a caravan holiday (it would have been camping but we've had miserable holidays for 2 years because it has rained constantly while we've camped)
We're in the North West and don't want to have to drive too far to get there, about 3-4 hours is our limit, so that pretty much means the South coast is out even though it is very pretty.
We have 2 dds, dd1 is 14 and will be the same anywhere, she'll read books and play on her phone/laptop wherever we are. Dd2 is 4 and needs entertainment, she loves the beach so a nice beach and good weather would keep her happy all week. Unfortunately we can't guarantee the good weather so we'd like to have some rainy day options close by as well, museums, swimming, boat trips, etc.
So what can you recommend?
