Hotel in Brighton suitable for two DC 3 and 5

My mother and I are planning to spend two nights in Brighton at the end of July. Do any of you have any recommendations for good places to stay, preferably near the train station?

MyHotel is facing the new library and near the beach and shops and is very modern.

Hotel DuVIn is just off the seafront had friends who said the staff were kind and helpful about their children.

Both are nice hotels but not that near the station.

Also heard good things about Blanch House

Think all the above are fairly pricey though.

Jury's Inn is a new hotel just behind the station - not such a nice location though.
