dd will be nearly 4, ds just over 2

is there enough in the area to satisfy this age range?

dh also wants dark skies for star gazing

I would love to see the sea, but will settle for a short drive
any good areas I should look at?

we visited wells a few years ago and it was really, really lovely

Wells next to the sea is lovely. It has a great beach with sand dunes, lots of things for the children to do and a really nice little town. I've been lots of times and it's one of the best places in the UK.

Dinosaur park is awesome. Near Lenwade. Tons to do for a whole day. Huge indoor soft play so if it tips it down they are still happy. Walks through woods with dinosaurs, animal farm area, petting snakes etc, cafés, climbing frames, slides. Varied sizes. Sit on electric cars. Mini golf. Trampoline. Assault course.

Gets prizes every year.

Holt woods are nice for a wander. Sheringham Park is great for running about in.

Beaches are gorgeous and sandy on north coast, Cromer has a pier with a lifeboat station at the end you can go in and look at for free. Also arcades etc if you need distraction on rainy days and good fish and chips.

Loads of other attractions depending on where you are. Norwich is a brilliant medieval city with a castle museum, cobbled streets, market, malls and plenty of pedestrianised areas they can walk and explore and climb on statues etc.

Blakeney. Nicer than Wells, I thought. Really gorgeous. You could spend hours crabbing at the harbour, it's just bliss.

We went last year with a 3 year old and loved it - stayed at kelling health near cromer, which was lovely and a good base for travelling -
DS loved the boat trip on the Norfolk broads.

When DS was little he was obsessed with seals and we took him on a boat trip at Blakeney to see the seal colony there. He loved it.

Norwich Castle museum a good bet for a wet day.
