Hotel in London handy for Eurostar?

Hi all, dd and I are going to Disneyland Paris via Eurostar this summer. We have to check in for our outgoing train at 6am so we would like to travel down to London the night before and stay over to make it a bit easier. Can anyone recommend a hotel that doesn't cost a fortune and is very handy for St Pancras International? It's the first time I have taken dd, aged 5, away on my own so I'm a bit nervous about finding somewhere that will be safe for us, and easy walking distance before 6am with luggage and a child!
Thanks

There is a Premier Inn right by kings cross.

Slightly further away but may be cheaper. Euston: www.premierinn.com/en/hotel/LONEUS/london-euston

Ten minutes walk or bus ride

Thanks paper, the kings cross one is £150 for the night I'd need Shock but Euston one is only £89. Says its 0.25miles from st pancras, any idea how far that is in real terms?

It's very close. 0.4 miles. I would think it worth the saving. You will be able to get a bus door to door if you don't want to walk it, or a black cab for a few quid.

Sorry should have said that my 0.4 miles is based on google maps telling me it's that far. It's straight down the road too so you won't get lost!

Thanks, looks good. Have found other independent hotels for a similar price but some look rather dodgy to say the least! Hopefully Premier Inn can be trusted? I've never stayed in one, but then it's only a bed for the night, won't be there long enough for breakfast!

Premier inns are great in my experience. Nice and clean, not shoddy. Do what they say on the tin! I would choose them over an independent place.

Enjoy your trip away!

Thank you, can't wait. Don't know who's looking forward to it more, me or dd!!
