Hello Travellers :)

I am trying to buy travel insurance for myself and feeling a bit overwhelmed by the options. This is my first time doing this in the UK - I am heading to Europe.
Apart from the post office, who else offers travel insurance?
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

One point to watch is that it is normal for policies to have exclusions for pre-existing medical conditions, so if you have any long-term condition or have suffered from anything recently that could result in you needing medical treatment on holiday, check carefully the wording of any exclusions relating to pre-existing conditions. Some companies will cover pre-existing conditions provided you declare the condition and pay an extra premium. If you are planning on taking part in any sports while abroad, again you should check the exclusions. For example it is normal to have to pay extra if you want to be covered for skiing.

Funnily enough - I was going to recommend the Post Office as normally coming up with a good deal Grin
However, as Stuffo suggests, just put your details into a comparison site.

Check you don't already have it with your bank account, some of the 'premium' accounts have it included.
