Budget anniversary break 2 nights central, wales, north west

I want to surprise DH for our 2nd anniversary and take him away for a couple of nights.

Wales, Liverpool, Chester areas. I have a small budget £, but we usually like to stay in a nice hotel and eat out.

A decent room, bar, nice restaurant, lovely village nearby with a pub, nice walks.

I have been looking online all morning for special offers and deals but just get overwhelmed and give up!

Can someone recommend anywhere that sounds vaguely what I'm looking for?? Thanks

How about Betws y Coed, there are a few hotels (Royal oak, Waterloo, riverside) and lots of B&Bs. Or maybe Conwy or Beaumaris (The Bull is lovely and has a choice of Brasserie or posh restaurant)?

Him we stayed at the Manor Haus in Ruthin last year for a special birthday break. Lovely boutique hotel with very nice restaurant. Even has a little private cinema in the basement which you can pre-book and take drinks down to. We got a deal through Groupon which made it much more affordable so it's worth a look!
