2-3 hours by car from where?

We've recently been to Midwood Cottage in Alnmouth, Northumberland which was lovely.

We stayed in a lovely cottage in Dumfriesshire.

www.homeaway.co.uk has some good ones and I like it that most have up to date rates and availability with a really good search function. Most websites frustrate the hell out of me!
