Dorset coast, where is nice?

Which parts of the dorset coast are nice? Looking for somewhere to stay with 2 children aged 8 and 12.

Don't mind holiday park or hotel.

We went down to Poole and kids loved it there but that was just a day trip.

Have done lyme Regis so not back there.

Weymouth can be fun

Stud land for nice beaches.
Some friends had a good holiday at Swanage

Oh and there is/also a holiday park right on the beach at Avon beach Christchurch. Get ferry over to mudeford sandbank, trip up the river to Christchurch. Not sure who has that holiday park these days

We stayed in Swanage last year, and used it as a base. It was lovely. Studland Beach and Lulworth Cove are fab in good weather.

forgot to say, we stayed in a B&B just off the sea front.

We stayed in West Bay a few years ago - here - 2 bed apartment for under £700 still available for August. Minutes from the beach, swimming pool across the road and restaurants a walk away. A little tempted to return now that I've taken a look at it again!

West Bay harbour is great for crabbing as well.
It is near Bridport which is worth a visit. We ate at The Olive Tree a couple of times and the food was excellent.

I meant to add that the Saturday market in Bridport is a lovely way to spend a morning mooching around. It has lots of things worth buying and there is live music which adds a lovely atmosphere.
