Where to stay in London?

Just very vaguely thinking about visiting London in December. We'd like to stay somewhere centralish. It would be me, DH and 16 month DD and possibly MIL & FIL. Medium budget.

Plan would be south bank, museum of natural history and general wandering.

How about a serviced apartment? It may be easier, especially with a small child than two hotel rooms.

I can't remember the company but if you google you should be able to find some renting from a week onwards. Prices are often without VAT so check carefully.

Thanks but we'd only be staying 3 nights or so - 4 max.
