How many of you, and any kids? We ate at Whiski, which was lovely. Massive whiskey menu too.

Just me and 18 year old dd.

Somewhere a bit "treat- like" preferably- but not too posh because we won't have anything smart to wear.

The Witchery is nice, but pricey.

This is the place we went. Fancy menu but comfy rustic b ar. Live music the nught we were there.

Not sure if there is a Gusto in edinburgh - ive eaten in a couple round the uk and they are really nice.

Empires on St Marys street is pretty cool. Small turk ish style place which DOESN'T TAKE SWITCH!!! byob as well.
