Restaurant for anniversary in Glasgow

Can anyone recommend somewhere nice for a special anniversary meal - not break the bank (max. £40 per person) and suitable for veggies, though doesn't have to be exclusively veggie?

The Ubiquitous Chip in the West End gets consistently, and deservedly, good reviews. For something more informal and funky, the Crab Shack in Finnieston.

Agree with aoife, the Chip is lovely.

I had my wedding lunch in La Vallee Blanche on Byres Rd and I love it - warm, atmospheric, romantic. La Vallee Blanche Their pre-theatre is very reasonable.

For something really special, my most recent favourite is The Gannet in Finnieston. I loved it. Really beautiful, elegant and delicious food. The
Guardian gave it big thumbs up. The Gannet
