Thinking of going for the day unless we can find a cheap, cheap hotel, have done most of the sites before but what can we do with ds age 9 - is the tower of London any good? Or anything on with Vikings as a theme?

The British Museum has a Viking exhibition on. You will need to book tickets though.

For free activities check the Museum of London.

The V&A has backpack activities, quite good as well. They target a specific theme and last around 1hr.

Bus sight seeing tour?

Westminster Abbey or St.Pauls Cathedral?

There is a replica of Francis Drake's Golden Hinde near London bridge which has events. The program is on their website.

new tour at Broadcasting House Portland Place. We went to the tour at the old TV centre and it was great

Not been yet but Greenwich is on my 'to do' list.
Have you looked at walking tours? they have a Harry Potter tour.
