Restaurant in Oxford for a family meal? (16 of us)

Hi

Can anyone recommend a restaurant in Oxford for next Saturday night (1st Feb)?

We have a family group of us meeting up and staying over at the YHA. There are 16 of us altogether, including children (aged 3-11), parents and grandparents and I don't want to pick somewhere that's too pricey, as some of us are students etc so don't want to make it difficult for those who are on a budget.

Thought of gourmet burger kitchen but just don't think we could all sit together and I don't think we can book in advance there. Also found Pierre Victoire but maybe too pricey. Can anyone recommend anywhere that is walkable from the YHA (which is by the railway station) and has some large space (maybe a conservatory area etc) where we could sit together that has pub-type prices??

I realise I have probably left it too late but am clutching at straws.

Thanks

lebanese? DS1 was at Oxford and we went here twice, very cheap, lovely food and lots of largish groups in.
Just order loads of teh "starter" type dishes to make a meze, you don't really need the formal main courses, thought the little pastry puddings are nice with coffee.
You could certainly walk there from the station and there are a couple of very good cheap cocktail bars nearlby if you want to drink first.

try jamies - around £10 for a bowl of pasta - might be a bit late to book for a big party, but I'd give it a go

Branca's is fantastic as is Brown's - google them.

I just organised dinner for 16 at the Turl Street Kitchen - beautiful food and not too expensive , with set menu options at £13 for 2 courses. Great service too - highly recommended!

The Big Bang at the Oxford Castle? Sausages are always a hit with youngsters!

Have heard great things about turl street kitchen. I was walking past jamies the other day and a new place has just opened, does burgers, ribs etc. Looked really nicely done, large with upstairs and down and reasonably priced. I phoned my husband on the spot and said we have to go! If you do then pls report back!
