Mini break in March with a toddler - don't know where to start!

We're hoping to get away for a few days in March with our (by then) almost 2 year old but not sure where to start looking. We love Center Parcs but the budget won't stretch to it as we've got a holiday booked for May. Looked at Butlins but it doesn't open until April so I would be very grateful for suggestions :)
We aren't especially bothered where we go location wise but needs to be within a couple of hours of Nottingham - could stretch to three hours. There are some essentials though - we don't really want a traditional hotel as ds will not sleep with anyone else in the room! Would like an indoor pool or a good 'fun' pool nearby. Would like to be within walking distance of family friendly pubs, restaurants etc.

Budget is about £150, £200 max (accomodation only) for 3 or possibly 4 nights. Is this doable? Any suggestions appreciated.

have a look at babyfriendlyboltholes and awaywiththekids websites. you might struggle to find something in March for around £25 per person per night (not including your toddler)

Have a look at breakfree holidays, we went away with them last year and paid £60 for mon-fri at a haven site which was fab, we did have to pay £10 per adult for entertainment passes on top of that but was definitely worth it to have use of the pool & watch the shows

Thanks for those suggestions, Breakfree have some great haven deals I just need to talk myself into a caravan in March! Baby friendly bolt holes a bit pricey for this time but there are some lovely places for later in the year :)

I recommend forest holidays in Sherwood - lovely accommodation and a massive playground right next door. We went last April with our then-18mo and his 2yo cousin and both loved it. Not sure how much it is though.

Griffon forest in York is nice. Not sure if they have a pool though.
Have a look at coastal retreats cottages in Northumberland, some of the cottages include access to a leisure club with pool in seahouses. Not sure if it will fit budget though.
With regard to centre parcs closer to the time they often reduce the price but depends on availability if you take the risk.
