lunch time meal in Brighton

I am being taken out for lunch on wed in Brighton. Where would you recommend?

You'll need to be a bit more specific I think. What food do you like and are you travelling in to the station or driving?

Terre a terre or Food got Friends are lovely but spendy veggie places. Pho is good Vietnamese food (like Wagamammas), chilli pickle is a lovely Indian, Casa Don Carlos does nice tapas (there is a nicer Tapas restaurant in the north lanes but I can't remember it's name), Bills is ok, Infinity Cafe does good veggie lunches, a cafe called Temptation in the north lanes does nice sarnies.

The Regency on the seafront is an old-school fish restaurant. Really good food.

The Grand Hotel has a lovely old school seafood restaurant. Very pretty, great service, great food.

Oh and the Gingerman is great, but might be fully booked. Gingerdog in Kemptown is more pubby but does great food

Riddle and Finn in The Lanes is good too.

Ah thanks. Haven't been out to lunch for ages and was feeling very under inspired. I'm interested to why you say Bill's is ok though and not good?

Bill's - I've always found massive queues when I've wanted to go and (because I'm an irritable so and so) the acoustics drive me a bit mad. Nice food though

We like go to Jamie Oliver's for lunch - its very good.

I love Food for Friends and go there every time I'm in Brighton - great food, nice atmosphere.
