Going to Cornwall in winter - ideas for days out with kids

We are, as the title says, going to Cornwall (Newlyn) for a week after Christmas with a 4 and a 2 year old. Any ideas for day trips would be appreciated - either indoor or outdoor, as I know a lot of places shut down for the winter. Eden project is already on the list!
Thanks.

Newlyn near Pz? I think there are two in Cornwall. Newlyn to Eden is a long drive.

Other ideas:

Mousehole to look at the lights(so go in the evening).

Wrap up warm and go to the beaches - Marazion, Porthcurno, Treen, Sennan are all good near you.

Heartlands has a good playground for kids.

St Ives is lovely, go on the train to amuse the kids.

Truro has ice skating this winter.

some of the theme park type places are open at weekends. go onto the cornwall tourist board website visitcornwall to check this out. Newlyn is a long way down the end so be prepared for quite a bit of driving to find stuff that is open at this time of year. Padstow for lunch? cant stand st ives tate personally but others have recommended it and it is inside. Falmouth for the museum (see, thinking of the indoors) little train ride on one of the branch lines? check mousehole lights are still up first.
