What's the cheapest way to accommodate my family of 7 in or near to Blackpool Pleasure Beach??

Does anyone know of some cheap (ish) B&B's or hotels within 15 miles of Blackpool?

We want to take the kids there for a couple of days in the holidays and we are struggling to keep the costs down with there being 7 of us to accommodate.

Or will we have to resign ourselves to getting 2 rooms and splitting up?

I can give you a quote QE - how old are the children and is there a specific date you're looking at?

charliecat · 16/07/2006 17:08

BR, I have just looked up your name on here and found you on ebay, was going to recommend you but youve nothing on ebay

roisin · 16/07/2006 17:10

Bubblerock's B&B is clean, well-furnished, very friendly, and good value.

She posts on here occasionally, and I'm sure will do you a good deal if you contact her.

It is central Blackpool, rather than the Pleasure Beach End, but it's not far.

Can you br? Do you have a hotel?

Ok then, most probably somewhere between w/c 7th August until w/e 19th Aug. Two nights would be max stay.

Me and dh
Kids: 14, 12, 10, 3.6 and 19mths. I have a travel cot for the youngest.

Thanks!

Ha! Crossed posts with you Bubblerock

bubblerock · 16/07/2006 17:38

LOL, thanks Roisin! CC - we haven't been putting so much on Ebay this year as we've been pretty busy!

QE -

For 2 adults, 3 children and 2 infants the cost would be (per night):

£74 - £7.40 MN discount = £66.60 per night

That's based on cereal/toast breakfast - if you wanted full english it's (£3 per adult/£2 per child extra) - we found lots of people didn't want it last year!

With regards to rooms, there are various ways of accommodating you all.

ie - family room (2 ads/2 inf/1 ch) + Double room (2 ch) or family room (2 ads/2 inf) + single room next to it (1 ch) + double room (2 ch) or family room (2 ads/ 2 inf) + 3 singles or family room (2 ads/2 inf) + double with guest bed (3 ch).

Anyway, if that sounds any good to you let me know, otherwise I guess a larger Hotel may have adjoining rooms. We only have 8 rooms and only take families/couples.

I have an ad on the small business board but my email is [email protected] if you wanted to get in touch.

PS - We had an offer on the Hotel today (first viewing, we haven't even gone through an estate agent!!) we're going to accept so this will be our last season!

roisin · 16/07/2006 18:29

Great news about your offer bubblerock! That was quick

Where/what are you moving to?

QueenEagle · 16/07/2006 19:04

Now that's the question! Mum's going to buy another house and work in admin and we are currently looking for another business (or we shall just bum around the world until our money runs out -just kidding!) I don't think we'll be moving for a few months yet so we've got a bit of time to decide.

Milliways · 16/07/2006 21:08

Hiya Bubblerock - thought I would see you here!

Yes, I will also recommend your B&B, we had a lovely time!

Good to hear about your offer! If you get another B&B you know where to advertise

bubblerock · 16/07/2006 21:29

Hiya Milliways!! - we won't get another B&B, it's too hard with the kids so we wouldn't be able to manage without Mum (don't tell her I said that though ) We will probably buy a little shop - as long as we don't have to work for someone else we don't mind!
